Kevin C. Anderson was born January 13, 1960 in Gurnee, Illinois. He is the 5th child in a Polish-Irish family (the family name was anglicized from Andrejewski). He has 3 older brothers and 1 older sister.
Kevin first became interested in acting during junior high, as a founding member and President of the drama club at Viking Junior High in Gurnee. He joined the forensics team at Warren Township High School and specialized in Oral Interpretation, winning enough accolades and awards to seriously begin thinking of an acting career.
He majored in acting at the Goodman School of Drama, now part of DePaul University in Chicago, graduating in 1981. In 1984 he became an ensemble member of Steppenwolf, a highly respected theatrical group in Chicago.
In addition to Kevin’s acting talent, he is also an accomplished musician. Complementing Kevin’s fabulous vocal talent, he also plays the acoustic guitar.
During his career, Kevin has worked with many well known and respected actors including: Julia Roberts, Richard Gere, Albert Finney, Patti Lupone, Brian Dennehy, Matthew Broderick, Jessica Lange, Kim Novak, Ron Silver, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Redgrave to name a few.
Kevin currently resides in Malibu, California with longtime significant other, British actress Dawn Spence.
